Join us in the Georgian Coach House for a truly exciting evening packed full with food, drink, entertainment and gossip... and maybe even a few surprises!

The story begins in 1794, the Earl of Warwick is away on his travels and you are escorted around the magnificent State Rooms for a private viewing by Mrs Hume, the Earl's Head Housekeeper.

Rumours run riot in these times, and the most compelling gossip of all, is of the notorious Highwayman who roams the land searching for weary travellers. It is agreed by all that the safest place is indoors, amongst friends, so it's back to the Coach House for a hearty five-course meal, unlimited drinks and music, singing and plenty of laughter. But a surprise awaits you when an unexpected guest pays a visit, who seems to have an eye for a jewel and a pretty lady.

The evening comprises of a tour of the State Rooms, a five-course meal with unlimited wine and beer during the supper, and an evening of themed entertainment.  We can also cater for vegetarians and most other dietary requirements (please advise us in advance).

Suggested Itinerary

You and your guests will be greeted by the mysterious Highwayman on his trusty steed, before making your way along the flare-lit pathway to the Castle courtyard for a drinks and canapé reception in the Armoury.  It is here that Mrs Hume, the Earl’s housekeeper, will greet you and share gossip and stories with you, before taking you on a tour of the magnificent State Rooms and then escorting you to the Coach House. Upon arrival the Inn Keeper and musicians will welcome you in and, along with Mrs Hume and the Highwayman, will entertain you throughout the evening.

Capacity

The Highwayman's Supper can cater for 50 - 70 guests. Smaller groups can join one of our public suppers.
