Dine with the most powerful man in England!

Join us in the 14th century Undercroft for an evening of hearty food, drink and mediaeval merriment.

The year is 1471 and the Kingmaker’s household is preparing to face the Yorkists in the morrow's battle for supremacy. The evening begins when you are led into 'Kingmaker' where Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick and his busy household are making last-minute preparations for battle.

The troops are rallied and the festivities begin with a five-course feast, unlimited wine and beer, music, singing and impish tales.  

The evening includes a tour of our mediaeval Kingmaker attraction, a five-course feast with unlimited drinks during the feast and a full evening of mediaeval entertainment.  We can also cater for vegetarians and most other dietary requirements (please advise us in advance).

Suggested Itinerary

You and your guests will be greeted by the Red Knight on horse-back and escorted along the flare-lit pathway to the Castle courtyard.  From there you will be shown into the Great Hall for a drinks and canapé reception, during which you will be entertained by jesters and magicians.  Before entering the Mediaeval Undercroft you will be guided though our award winning Kingmaker attraction.  Upon arrival in the Undercroft Minstrels and Mediaeval characters will greet and entertain you throughout the evening.

Capacity

Private feasts, with the added benefit of a reception in the Great Hall, can seat up to 115 guests with a minimum number of 50 guests Sunday – Thursday and 80 Friday – Saturday and throughout December. We can accommodate up to 250 people. This may sometimes involve splitting the group, please call the Sales team to discuss further. Smaller groups can join one of our public feasts.
